New Construction Products Regulation (CPR)
Summary
TAV. 00The new European regulation on construction products, replacing Reg. (EU) 305/2011. It keeps the CE marking and Declaration of Performance system based on harmonised standards, but adds environmental sustainability requirements (carbon footprint, recycled content, durability, repairability) and a digital product passport. Application is gradual: the regulation applies from 8 January 2026, while Reg. 305/2011 remains transitionally in force for products covered by existing standards, with a staggered repeal across the transition period.
Scope of application
TAV. 01It applies to construction products placed or made available on the European Union market. It concerns manufacturers, importers and distributors, who must draw up the Declaration of Performance and Conformity and affix the CE marking according to harmonised technical specifications.
