Privacy & Legal Notes
Short version: no accounts, no profiling cookies, no trackers. The long version is below.
Who we are
Architheca is a bilingual technical encyclopedia of architecture. Data controller: the owner of the Architheca project — contact privacy@architheca.com.
What data we process
The site has no user accounts and sets no profiling or advertising cookies. Browsing generates only: (a) technical logs of the hosting provider (Vercel Inc.), such as IP address and request data, kept for security and operation; (b) anonymous, aggregated performance metrics (Vercel Speed Insights), which do not identify visitors. If you write to us by email, we process the data you choose to send solely to answer you.
Newsletter and regulatory Radar (on request only)
If you subscribe to the newsletter, or ask the Radar to alert you when a regulation you follow changes status, we process your email address (and, for the Radar, the list of regulations you watch) solely to send you what you asked for. Data is stored on Sanity (Sanity Inc., our CMS — data processor) and emails are sent through Resend (Resend Inc. — data processor). No profiling, no sharing with third parties for their own purposes. Every email contains an unsubscribe link; you can also write to privacy@architheca.com at any time.
Legal basis and retention
Technical logs: legitimate interest in security and operation of the service. Email correspondence: handling your request. Newsletter and Radar: your consent, given on subscription and revocable at any time — we keep the address while the subscription is active and delete or deactivate it when you unsubscribe. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to deal with it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR (EU Reg. 2016/679) you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali). Write to privacy@architheca.com.
Content disclaimer
Architheca’s contents are informational and do not replace design activity or professional or legal advice. Regulations change over time: always check the official sources linked on each sheet. See also the Method page.
Orientation tools (Compliance Navigator, Blueprint)
The Compliance Navigator and the other tools provide an orientation on the national regulatory framework based on the answers you give. They are not technical or legal advice and do not replace the assessment of a qualified professional or the check with the municipal One-Stop Building Desk (SUE). Regional and municipal rules and site-specific constraints may change the picture. Items flagged as “to clarify” or “under verification” must be confirmed before any decision.
Limitation of liability
Contents are provided “as is”, without warranty of completeness, accuracy or currency. To the extent permitted by law, the owner is not liable for damages arising from the use of — or inability to use — the site or the tools, nor from decisions taken on the basis of the contents. You remain responsible for the checks needed with the official sources and the competent bodies.
Regulations and copyright
Texts of law (public domain) are summarised and linked to the free official sources (Normattiva, Gazzetta Ufficiale, EUR-Lex). Copyright-protected technical standards (UNI, EN, ISO) are described in their logic and cited by reference, but not reproduced: for the full text, refer to the standards bodies. Architheca neither sells nor distributes protected standards.
Intellectual property
Texts, sheets, illustrations and code of Architheca belong to the project owner, except where otherwise stated. You may cite them by linking to the specific page.
Changes
If we introduce tools that change this picture (e.g. privacy-friendly analytics), this page will be updated before they go live. Last updated: July 2026 (newsletter and Radar sections added).
